Jan Philippiak
Jan co-founded Lightfield Equity in 2016. He started his working life with Roland Berger in Berlin. As industry manager focused on finance and controlling, he spent several years with well-known enterprises afterwards. In 2008 he decided to build up his own investment business and commenced to invest in start-ups. Jan holds university degrees in Business & Economics and Law.
Eric Sommer
Eric has been with Lightfield Equity as co-founder since 2016. He began his professional career as a management consultant and subsequently helped build one of Germany's first special situations private equity GP, where he was active in the investment business across several fund generations. Eric holds a degree in industrial engineering.
Dominik Schlenker
Dominik joined Lightfield Equity in early 2025. Previously, he focused on portfolio value creation and buy & build strategies at a global private equity fund in Munich. Earlier in his career, he worked on strategy development and M&A within the CEO office of a technology company. Dominik holds an MSc. in Strategy & Finance from HHL Leipzig.
Andreas Löhle
Andreas joined Lightfield Equity to support the firm’s technology-driven startup strategy. Before transitioning into the investment space, he was a researcher at the University of Stuttgart, where he specialized within the field of theoretical astrochemistry. Today, he evaluates complex technologies and assesses the technologies defensibility. Andreas holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, an M.Sc. in Physics, and dual undergraduate degrees in Economics and Physics.
